The route begins in the town of Matalbaniega with its church of San Martín, which draws attention for its collection of corbels with a wide range of themes. We ascend to see the church of Santa María la Real de Cillamayor from the 12th century, noting the set of corbels. Villanueva de la Torre with the church of Santa Marina from the late 12th century. The two capitals of the triumphal arch stand out for their great beauty.
To the north, we find the town of Salcedillo with its church of San Martín Obispo and its small doorway. Revilla de Santullán with its church of San Cornelio and San Cipriano, a clear example of late Romanesque. Particularly noteworthy are its doorway and the curious figure of the sculptor who signed the work. In San Cebrián de Mudá with its Romanesque Art church from the late 12th century. Additionally, the doorway and the belfry still persist.
