Sanctuary of the Virgin of Carmen
Sanctuary of the Virgin of Carmen. Sanctuary located in the town of Santa María de Nava. Its 16th-century church is accessed through the south wall via a simple portico, with an entrance featuring a semicircular arch. Inside, it consists of a single nave with a high choir at the back and a 17th-century Baroque altarpiece at the head, adorned with sculptures of Saint Teresa, Saint John, and Saint Joseph, all under a star-shaped ribbed vault. The image of the Virgin was blessed by Pope Pius V in 1620 in Rome. On the exterior, it features a 17th-century bell gable at the back and a sundial dated 1792.
