House Marcos Gutiérrez
Casa Marcos Gutiérrez. In the village of Aguilar de Campoo, near the Puerta de la Tobalina, you will find this smaller house built with regular stone blocks. The facade features a large semicircular arch at the entrance and small openings, along with the Zorrilla family crest. This house dates back to the 17th century. It was the home of Casa Marcos Gutiérrez, who defended the castle of King Alfonso IX. In 1921, during his stay in the town, Miguel de Unamuno wrote an article about this house, which served as his inspiration.
