Cueva de Guantes, a Natural Enigma
Cueva de Guantes. The cave is located in the area of Villanueva de Arriba, in the region known as La Loma. It has an entrance on its North side and an exit on its South side. It spans a distance of 350 meters, winding through karstic cavities and chambers of varying sizes. You can observe shapes carved by the water that has flowed through it for centuries. There are some narrow passages that require you to crouch at certain points. It is advisable to wear appropriate clothing and footwear due to the existing humidity. The best times to visit are summer and autumn; during other seasons, it floods and becomes impassable. Currently, one of its sections is under excavation as remains of human activity and prehistoric tools have been found.
