Camporredondo Reservoir, the oldest one.
The Camporredondo reservoir is located in the municipal area of Velilla del Río Carrión and in the town of Camporredondo de Alba. It belongs to the system known as Carrión, and its construction was completed in 1930 after 16 years of work. With a capacity of 70 million cubic meters of water, its wall is notable for being made up of large stones, each weighing over half a ton. At the top, fleurs-de-lis are visible, the emblem of the Royal House of Bourbon, as Alfonso XIII was reigning at the time and inaugurated the reservoir on the date it began service.
