BTT Sierra del Brezo

BTT Sierra del Brezo. We start in Respenda de la Peña, valley of the Arroyos, Pino de Viduerna, and we reach Aviñante de la Peña. We ascend to the Sanctuary of the Virgen del Brezo (quite steep). We head towards the Miranda Valley (another rocky slope) and ascend to the Cristo Sierra Refuge. At the crossroads, if we take the right track, we can reach Valsurbio. Although uninhabited, it is the highest village in Palencia (1700 meters). If we decide to take the track continuing straight, we will go to Valcobero, another of the so-called "Abandoned" villages. Although in this case, it is not. We can return from the Cristo Sierra refuge retracing our steps, back to the Sanctuary of the Virgen del Brezo, and once in Aviñante, we return to Respenda de la Peña, a beautiful BTT route at any time of the year.
