Peña Redonda

Peña Redonda. In the heart of the Brezo mountain range, you will find this peak that reaches an altitude of 1,995 meters. The ascent will be made from the southern slope. We will start from the town of Traspeña de la Peña. The route will take us out of the village along a track until we reach the Santa Eulalia ravine. This is the starting point of the ascent. We will tread carefully, leaving the Burrian peak with its 1,799 meters to one side. At the summit of the peak, there is a 14-meter metal cross placed in 1984. From this point, you have magnificent views of the Palencia mountains. It is important to note that every year, on the first Sunday of August, a pilgrimage is held in honor of the Virgin of the Summits, attended by all the surrounding villages.
