Ursi Museum and Trail
In 1998, he bought an old mansion from the 17th century, which he renovated with the idea of housing his work due to the lack of space he had to exhibit it in his workshop. Today, it houses the Ursi Sculpture Museum, inaugurated as such in the early years of the 21st century.
His artistic projection and power made him worthy in 1993 of the Medal of Artistic Merit of Palencia, as well as the commitment of the President of the Exma. Diputación de Palencia, José María Hernández, to create a route that would bear his name, perpetuating his memory after Ursi's death in 2007.
The Senda de Ursi, as this route is known, materialized in 2008 and today is one of the most beloved and frequented in the Palencia mountains. The Muriel Artists Group, to which Ursi belonged, completed this tribute by including works from different artists of the group along the route.
● The Museum is located in Aguilar de Campoo, a few meters from Ursi's residence, in front of the Arco de la Tobalina.
● Visiting hours for the public are from Easter until December 31st on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays: 11:30-14:00 and 17:00-19:30.
