In the Palentine Mountain

El Txoko de Onso is a rural house inaugurated in June 2023, in an old building over 100 years old and completely renovated. It is located in Santibáñez de la Peña, at almost 1100 meters above sea level, in the Palencia mountains, specifically at the base of the Sierra de la Peña, where you will find yourself surrounded by extensive oak forests.

Our house features a large area where you can enjoy its garden, with furniture, barbecue, vegetable garden, and fruit trees; an ideal place to spend time with friends and/or family. The house also stands out for having a large living-dining room of 48 m², with a 65” TV.

We have 4 double rooms, 2 rooms with double beds, and another 2 rooms with single beds; plus an extra bed if needed. Additionally, there is a small room-lounge that can either be used as an extra bedroom, with its sofa bed, or for those seeking more privacy and tranquility. The house has 2 full bathrooms and an equipped kitchen. The house is located in the urban area of Santibáñez de la Peña, a town that offers services such as a bakery, supermarket, 3 bars, pharmacy, paddle tennis court, and a heated pool during the summer months.

We are surrounded by nature, oak forests, perfect for hiking enthusiasts, bike routes, and in the surrounding area, you might encounter native wildlife. We are located in the Palencia Mountain Natural Park and near the Reservoir Route. For those who prefer high mountains, we are close to the highest peaks of Palencia, Espigüete, and Curavacas. We are Pet Friendly, so pets are welcomed as part of the family.
